Musings



I have always loved the idea of compiling lists. Here's a list full of important things I should remember. 
  • It always seems impossible until it is done.
  •  I am never afraid of what I know.
  •  It is better to let go of something than to hold on to nothing. 
  •  Friends come and go. Our paths in life split and diverge all the time but good friends are hard to find. Keep them close to your heart.
  • Be filial. Understand that just because you will never be able to agree with some of the things your parents say, it does not mean that they do not love you.  
  •  Read as much as you possibly can outside of your academic curriculum. Pick up a copy of the newspaper or that novel you have been meaning to read.  
  •  Write everyday. Write even when you have nothing substantial to say or can't seem to articulate your thoughts properly into words. Keep a diary, scribble notes, and jot down important quotes. 
  •  Learn to accept that mistakes and misunderstandings are an inevitable part of life. It does no good to dwell on them. Accept that you make mistakes, pick yourself up, and learn from them. 
  •  Stop second guessing yourself. 
  •  Timing is important, luck is often dependent, but remember that 9 out of 10 times, it truly pays off to work hard for what you want. 
  • Do one thing everyday that scares you. 
  • Don't be reckless with other people's hearts. Don't put up with people who are reckless with yours. 
  • Your choices are half chance. So are everybody else's. 
  • Don't waste your time on jealousy. Sometimes you're ahead, sometimes you're behind. The race is long, and in the end, it's only with yourself.
